George Nicholas Cosmidis, 71, formerly of Norfolk, died July 24, 1996.
Mr. Cosmidis, a native of Fayetteville, N.C., was a retired executive with CSX Transportation Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Mitchell Cosmidis; a daughter, Jennifer Cosmidis of Hopewell; a son, Nicholas Cosmidis of Boynton Beach, Fla.; mother, Paraskevi Cosmidis, a sister, Mary Cosmidis Vourlas, a brother-in-law, Nicholas Vourlas, all of Norfolk; a brother, Alex Cosmidis, and sister-in-law, Martha Cosmidis, both of Raleigh, N.C.
A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home, Hopewell. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Richmond, with interment at Merchant's Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George. Memorial contributions may be made to Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Malvern Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23221.
