Wesley Levar Griffin, of the 400 block of W. 32nd St., died July 23, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Norfolk, Mr. Griffin was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, Norfolk. He was a laborer's helper.
Survivors include a son, Wesley Levar Griffin Jr. of Norfolk; mother, Margaret M. Griffin of Norfolk; father, Eugene Griffin Sr. of Norfolk; a brother, Eugene Griffin Jr. of Norfolk; and maternal grandparents, Mr. Lindwood and Mrs. Margaret Mitchell of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday in First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, by Bishop Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. The remains will be ready for viewing today at 4 p.m. The family will assemble at 907 W. 27th St. at 11 a.m. Saturday for the procession. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
