Johnnie H. Riddick Sr., 86, of the 400 block of Phillips Ave., died July 24, 1996.
Mr. Riddick, the widower of Ethel T. Riddick, retired from the Naval Air Station after 35 years and Robbies Hardware after six years. He was a member of Celestial Baptist Church and its Willing Workers Club and Missionary Society. He was a member of Truxton Lodge of Masons (NU)199.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Perry and Joyce Miller; a son, Johnnie H. Riddick Jr.; a sister, Viola Williams; a brother, Dillard Riddick; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Leon J. Boone in Celestial Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
