Irvin Caldwell Reynolds, 55, of the 1700 block of Locklear St., husband of Mrs. Sheila Carney Reynolds, died Friday, July 26, 1996, at his home.
Mr. Reynolds was born in Surry County on Feb. 16, 1941, to the late Walter Alexander and Martha Gertrude Seagraves Reynolds. He was a self-employed painter and a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sheila Carney Reynolds of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Irvin and Stacey Reynolds and Timmy and Jennifer Reynolds, both of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nancy Hornaday of Mt. Airy; two brothers, Mac Arthur Reynolds and James Charles Reynolds, both of Mt. Airy.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 29, 1996, in the Faith Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Randy Edwards, Rev. James Gentry, Rev. Tommy Nichols and the Rev. Dean Eaton, with burial to follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Moody Funeral Home, Mt. Airy, where his body will remain until time to be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, South Franklin Road., Mt. Airy, N.C. 27030 or to Hospice of Surry County, 1326 N. Main St., Mt. Airy, N.C. 27030.
