JAMES H. DAUGHTREY

James Henry Daughtrey, 63, of the 400 block of Military Highway, died July 26, 1996.

Mr. Daughtrey retired as a supervisor at Plumbers and Steamfitters, Union Local No. 10, Richmond. A native of Suffolk, he was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach; V.F.W.; Carrollton Senior Citizens Club, Norfolk; and Military Circle Mall Walkers. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Linda F. Daughtrey; two sons, James H. Daughtrey Jr. of Durham, N.C., Thomas P. Daughtrey of Norfolk; two sisters, Mary Evelyn P. Crumpler of Richmond, Barbara D. Lang of Gatesville, N.C.; and his beloved ``Fergie.'' He was predeceased by his mother, Addie Benton Daughtrey and his father, James T. Daughtrey.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 29, 1996, in Memorial United Methodist Church, 804 Gammon Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Joseph T. Carson III. Burial is in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will receive visitors at Hill Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. today and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, 20th St. & Artic Ave., Virginia Beach, 23464.
