Melton E. ``Stoney'' Wilson, 79, of Maple, N.C., died July 26, 1996, in Norfolk.
He was born in Bethel, N.C., and was a former owner of Stoney's BBQ. He was the widower of Matte Mae Wilson.
He is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline A. Sears of Norfolk, Melodye L. Light of Chesapeake; three grandchildren, Kimberly A. Rothrock of Virginia Beach, Joseph E. Baker of Norfolk, Dara Light of Chesapeake; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Dalton Wilson of Norfolk; and a sister, Thelma Jackson of Atlantic Beach, N.C.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. today and at 954 Elm St., the Ingleside section of Norfolk, following the service.
