CRASH SENDS LANGLEY DRIVER TO HOSPITAL

Late Model Stock driver Roger Bress was taken to an area hospital Saturday night following a multi-car accident on lap 6 of the 100-lap Late Model Stock feature at Langley Speedway.

Bress' car was pinned against the wall in turn 3. Rescuers used the Jaws of Life and a chain saw to remove him from his vehicle.

Bress, last year's Grand Stock points champion, was conscious when he was transported to the hospital. His condition was unavailable at press time.

The race resumed and was under way at press time.

In Saturday's other races:

Trevor Falls took the lead for good on lap 11 of the 40-lap event to claim his first Grand Stock victory.

Joe Lupton added to his series points lead by winning the 25-lap Mini-Stock feature. Mike Gordan finished second.

Woody Vance picked up his second win of the season in the 25-lap Pure Stock feature. Vance, second in the points race, gained ground on leader Sam Zoellner, who finished third.

Jimmy Adams took the lead on lap 3 and held off Dale Evans to win the 25-lap Legends race.
