``Virginia Independent Party rebellion'' (Another View, July 21) by Louis Herrink and Stephen Merrill said the Independent Party will support any candidate who will seek term limits, campaign-finance reform, fundamental tax reform, balancing the federal budget by reducing spending and expanding personal freedom.
These are exactly what the Republican Party attempted to do but was blocked by the president and his Democrats. Herrink and Merrill know what happened, and instead of supporting the Republicans like they said they would do, they castigate both parties for failing to accomplish these ends.
