Elizabeth ``Lib'' Griffin Baum, 82, died Sunday, July 28, 1996, in an Elizabeth City hospital.
Mrs. Baum, a native of Elizabeth City, N.C., was a retired secretary and bookkeeper and a member of the Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce and the Dare County Tourist Bureau. Mrs. Baum was the daughter of the late George Edward and Mattie Sexton Griffin and the widow of the late Orville Lee Baum.
Mrs. Baum is survived by a daughter, Matilda B. Zuhars of Kitty Hawk; two sisters, Hilda Wysong and Eleanor Whitehurste, both of Portsmouth; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in Austin Cemetery, Kitty Hawk, on Thursday, August 1, 1996, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brad Bradshaw officiating. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Matilda Zuhars, Elijah Baum Road, Kitty Hawk. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge of arrangements.
