HAZEL O. SIMPKIN

Hazel O'Dell Simpkin, widow of Raymond W. Simpkin, former senior vice president of Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company, died in Manassas, Va., on July 26, 1996.

She was a life long member of St. John's Episcopal Church in West Hartford, Conn., and at her death was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Haymarket, Va. Before retiring to Atlantis, Fla., in 1967, she was a member of the Hartford Golf Club and a charter member of the Hartford Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Simpkin Boyer of Nokesville; two granddaughters, Sally Joyner Giffin of Frederick, Maine, and Hollis Rae Mathews of The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, Conn.; and four great-grandchildren.

Family graveside services were held in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery in Virginia Beach. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Medical Airlift, P.O. Box 1940, Manassas, Va. 20108-0804.
