Clarence Randolph Gray Sr., of the 800 block of Virginia Beach Blvd., died July 29, 1996, in a local hospital.
A native of Norfolk, he was the widower of Rockie L. Gray and a member of New Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Gray retired as an aircraft mechanic for Naval Air Rework Facility.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna C. Gray and Lynn A. Gray, both of Chesapeake; two sons, Clarence R. Gray Jr. of Albany, Ga., and Milton M. Gray of Deland, Fla.; two sisters, Beatrice O. Rawls of Chesapeake and Hattie G. Walker of Portsmouth; a brother, Floyd B. Gray of Portsmouth; ten grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins; fiancee, Evelyn Wilson; and a longtime friend, Margaret Freeman.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, August 2, 1996, in New Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. G.G. Campbell. The body will be taken to church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
