Richard Lee Bass, 48, of the 6300 block of Wailes Ave., died July 30, 1996.
Mr. Bass was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (NU)4809 and the Military Order of the Cooties Pup Tent (NU)2, both of Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Anne M. Bass; his mother, Elizabeth Bass of Richmond; two brothers, B. Leonard Bass Jr. of Belton, S.C., Ira W. Bass and wife, Dorothy, of Richmond; two faithful companions, Bubba and Lucy; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Veterans of Foreign Wars, 5728 Bartee St., Norfolk. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or any favorite charity.
