Jimmie Lee Purvis Jr., departed from this life on July 26, 1996 at the youthful age of 16. He was born Aug. 30, 1979 in Norfolk and was currently residing in Fort Washington.
He leaves to mourn his parents, Jimmie Lee and Wanda Lee Blocker Purvis; three sisters, Josette Diggs, Shawn Purvis and Jimeil Purvis; two grandparents, Elizabeth Purvis and Vivian Blocker; and one great-grandmother, Edna Wilson, all of Norfolk.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., with funeral services starting at noon, at Antioch Baptist Church, Clinton, Md., on Friday, Aug. 2, 1996. The Rev. Mr. Curtis Latimore will officiate. Burial will be held in Harmony Memorial Park. Cards and flowers should be directed to Pope Funeral Home, 5538 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, Md. 20747.
