Anna C. Fields, 94, of the 3300 block of Armstead Drive, died July 27, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.
She was the widow of Sellers Coit and the Rev. George Fields. A native of Blemhiem, S.C., she was a member and usher of Noble Street Baptist Church, Portsmouth, for over 50 years. She was also a member of Truxton Lodge (NU)63 and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy M. Harris of Suisun, Calif.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Noble Street Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Ronnie T. Northam Sr. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friday. The family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday for the procession to the church.
