PARASKEVI N. COSMIDIS

Paraskevi N. Cosmidis, 94, of the 7800 block of Walters Drive, died July 29, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Cosmidis was a native of Karpenision, Greece. She was the daughter of the late Thanasi and Maria Polizos. She was the widow of Nicholas Cosmidis. She was preceded in death by her son, George N. Cosmidis. She was a member of The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Norfolk, the Hellenic Woman's Club, and the Golden Year's Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary C. Vourlas and her husband, Nick, of Norfolk; a son, Alex Cosmidis and his wife, Martha, of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Cosmidis of Hopewell, Va.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 1996 at The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation by Father Demetrios N. Kehagias. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Trisagion Service will be conducted today at 7 p.m. at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 7220 Granby Street, Norfolk, Va., 23505. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, are handling the arrangements.
