Edward Fitzpatrick, 75, died July 28, 1996, in a Norfolk nursing home.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was a native of County Cavan Glangevlin, Ireland. He was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. Mr. Fitzpatrick was the owner of the Virginia Beach Driving School.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Fitzpatrick Evans of Alexandria, Va.; a son, Peter Fitzpatrick; two brothers, Thomas Fitzpatrick of Lavonia, Mich., Hugh Fitzpatrick of New York City; a grandson, Andrew Scott Evans of Alexandria; and several brothers and sisters in Ireland.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 8 a.m. Thursday in Star of the Sea Catholic Church by Father Robert Cummings and Father James Dorson. The family will have fellowship after the Mass and burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. There will be a visitation today in the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Star of the Sea Catholic Church. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel are handling arrangements.
