Fred Wiley Doby, 68, of the 400 block of Carlisle Way, died July 28 in Norfolk.
Mr. Doby was a native of Iowa Park, Texas, and served in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years. He was an avid tennis player and skier.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Henley Doby; a son, Robert Henley Doby of Stockton, Calif.; two sisters, Bessie D. Baugh and Evelyn D. Robertson, both of Fort Walton, Fla.; and a grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Richard S. Ruggles. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
