Yvonne L. Joyner, 46, of the 600 block of Congress St., died July 27, 1996, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
She had retired from the Virginia Beach School System and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Mary L. Joyner; three sisters, Ernestine Cooper, Cynthia Joyner, Patricia Joyner, all of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Jesse Joyner Jr., Spencer Joyner, both of Virginia Beach; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Joyner Sr.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday, Aug. 1, 1996, in New Hope Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by Pastor E. Ray Cox Sr. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. today at P.G. Thomasson Funeral Services Inc.
