BEACH POLICE CAN'T IDENTIFY MAN FOUND DEAD

Police are asking the public's help to identify a man found dead outside a convenience store July 21.

The man had ridden a bicycle to the store in the 1900 block of Diamond Springs Road and had made a purchase inside. About two hours later, he was found dead by a Dumpster.

Police haven't released his cause of death, but said it wasn't a result of foul play.

The unidentified man is white, about 35, with medium-length black hair. He was found wearing jeans, construction boots and a T-shirt featuring cartoon characters.

On his upper right arm was a tattoo of an eagle.

The man may be a transient, and may have been working in construction.

Police artist Edie Sherman has sketched a likeness of the man.

Anyone who may know the man's identity is asked to call 427-0000. ILLUSTRATION: Drawing
