Norfolk firefighters work to pull Richard McCray, top, to safety
on the roof of the Howard Johnson hotel on Brambleton Avenue on
Wednesday. McCray, who was wearing a body harness, was working on
a radio antenna when a quick-running thunderstorm tangled his lines
and blew him off the roof. The rescue ended safely at about 5 p.m.
Fire Capt. Todd Cannon said McCray was ``a little shaken up, but
mainly he's happy to be off the building.'' by CNB
