Clyde Leon Buckwalter Jr., 91, of the 6100 block of Powhatan Ave., died Wednesday, July 31, 1996, in a Norfolk health care center.
He was born in Norfolk and was the son of the late Lillian Moore and Clyde L. Buckwalter Sr. Mr. Buckwalter worked for more than 30 years in the design division of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of the vestry and was a warden for many years at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte V. ``Lollie'' Buckwalter; a cousin, Jean M. Joynes; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Father Charles A. Joy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to Operation Smile. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
