Oscar Franklin Fowler, 72, died July 31, 1996.
He is survived by his wife Grace Elizabeth Day Fowler; a daughter, Linda Horton and son-in-law, Joe Barry Horton of Charlotte, N.C.; three brothers, William ``Bud'' Holland, Elmo Morris Fowler, Clifton Eugene Fowler, all of Courtland; three grandchildren, Joe Barry Horton II, William Franklin Horton and Elizabeth Grace Horton.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in the Emporia Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Echols Funeral Home, Emporia. Memorials may be made to the Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
