IGNACIO Q. AGANA

Ignacio Quimzon Agana, of the 4800 block of Orchard Lane, died Aug. 1, 1996, in Chesapeake.

A native of Iba Zambales, Philippines, he was the widower of Socorro Alinea Agana. He was a member of Catholic Church of St. Mark, Virginia Beach. Mr. Agana was a retired district supervisor of elementary schools in the Zambales school system.

Survivors include two daughters, Ofelia A. Cespedes of Virginia Beach and Sonya A. Palmer of Munster, Ind.; a son, Dr. Rudegelio A. Agana of South Hadley, Mass.; a sister, Natividad Laborce of Jacksonville, N.C.; as well as three other sisters and a brother in the Philippines; seven grandchildren, Feliciano, Meredith, Joyce, Rhodora, Luz Socorro, Mark and B.J.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Catholic Church of St. Mark, Virginia Beach by Father Daniel N. Klem. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. A Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. The family will remain to receive friends until 9 p.m.
