David Livingstone Shepard, 92, formerly of Norfolk, died July 30, 1996, in a Richmond nursing home.
He was the widower of Lillian H. Shepard. He retired as director of buildings and grounds for Norfolk State University after more than 30 years of service.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Shepard of New York, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Josephine H. Harris of Richmond; a niece, Ms. Sheila Harris-Minor of Richmond; two nephews, Calvin H. Harris of Temple Hills, Md.,and William H. Harris of Bigstone Gap, Va.; two great-nephews, Calvin Harris Jr. of Cantonsville, Md., and James R. Bullock of Richmond; a great-niece, Ms. Valerie B. Harris of Cantonsville; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
