Police said on Thursday they have made three arrests in a murder case and are looking for a fourth suspect.
Two men and a teenager were arrested Wednesday in the slaying of Wesley Griffin, who was found suffering from several gunshot wounds on July 23 outside his home in the 400 block of W. 32th St. He later died at a hospital.
Griffin, 19, was at his home when the incident began as a robbery, police spokesman Larry Hill said. He was taken outside his home and shot several times.
Dennis Campbell, 18, was arrested just after midnight. Campbell, of the 1200 block of Edenham Court in Virginia Beach, was charged with murder, robbery and two firearm violations.
Later Wednesday, two others were arrested and charged with murder, robbery and two firearms violations: Alton Dance, 19, of the 80 block of Grady Crescent in Chesapeake and a 17-year-old male from the 70 block of Grady Crescent.
Warrants for the same charges have been issued for a fourth suspect, Antoine L. Burnham, 18, from the first block of Grady Crescent.
Anyone with information on Burnham's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Line at 664-4040.
