Beryl E. Lex

PORTSMOUTH - Beryl Edna Lex, 85, of the 400 block of Douglas Ave., died Aug. 2, 1996.

She was a native of Chocowinity, N.C., and the widow of John W. Lex. She retired as a supervisor from Colonial Stores and was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, James F. Windley of Portsmouth; a sister, Lenay Woolard of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Lenol Moore of Chocowinity; and a granddaughter, Julia R. Windley.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Timothy A. Drake. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m.
