Police say Thomas Benvenuto was slain at his business on
Wednesday. A MetroNews story Friday had his last name spelled wrong.
The wrong Car Calendar ran in Friday's Auto Weekly section; the
Mustang Club of Tidewater does host its annual Mid-Atlantic Car Show
today, but other items on the calendar were for the previous week.
A correct Car Calendar appears today in the MetroNews section, Page
B7.
The wrong photo ran with a story in Friday's Auto Weekly section
about J. Theron Timmons, who has worked with the American Automobile
Association of Tidewater for more than 60 years. The photo showed
his son, E. Wallace Timmons, the auto group's director of public
affairs.
Al Vincent and the Melody Makers will play big band music from 7
to 9 p.m. Sunday at Ocean View Park in Norfolk. An item in Friday's
Preview section gave an incorrect location.
Princess Anne High School, Class of 1976, will have a reunion
Aug. 9 at Kokoamo's at Marina Shores and Aug. 10 at the Ramada
Resort, 57th St. A reunion item in Friday's MetroNews section had a
wrong locale for the Aug. 10 event. (More on Page B7.)
Ocean View Watersports rents out fishing boats and jet skis, but
it does not arrange fishing trips or dolphin watching. The Norfolk
business was described incorrectly in the July 24 Living in South
Hampton Roads, a promotional supplement to The Virginian-Pilot.
