WILLIAM C. DAVIS JR.

William Clyde Davis Jr., 82, of Virginia Beach and Maryland, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 1996, in Virginia Beach of pulmonary disease.

He was a native of Washington, N.C., and was the son of the late Ida Woodley and William C. Davis Sr.

Mr. Davis is survived by three daughters, Carolyn L. Turner of Clinton, Md., Marilyn D. Brinkley of Mt. Airy, Md., and Jocelyn D. Bailey of Hyattsville, Md.; two sons, William C. Davis III of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Robert W. Davis of Glenn Dale, Md.; four sisters, Louise D. Mullin of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Marian Machen of Annapolis, Md., and Marjorie Coleman of Culpeper, Va., and Anna D. Bonney of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Winston Davis of Virginia Beach and Calvin E. Davis of Silver Spring, Md.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Stuart I. Davis in 1974.

A memorial service will be conducted in the Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, Monday, Aug. 5, 1996, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Zion Chapel Cemetery, Roper, N.C.
