MIKE GREEN

Michael McKee ``Mike'' Green, 14, died Friday, Aug. 2, 1996, in Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, Norfolk.

He was a lifelong resident of Poquoson and a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. He was named most improved in Civics and English on the Frye Team in Poquoson Middle School; a ninth grade homeroom representative; a member of the Poquoson High School wrestling and football teams; and received the Presidential Physical Fitness Award for the last five years.

Mike is survived by his mother and father, Patsy and Buddy Green; a sister, Channing Green, and a brother, Rob Green, both of Poquoson; grandparents, Bob and Joelle McKee of Hampton, Margaret Green of Virginia Beach, and Marthe and Walter Watkins of California; aunts and uncles, Mike McKee of California, W.W. and Peggy Olney of Pinehurst, N.C.; cousins, Will, Stacey, Michelle, Heather, Erwan and Loic.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Poquoson High School gymnasium by the Rev. Dick Helveston. The family requests that everyone dress casual for lack of air conditioning. The body will be cremated.

The family will be at the home. The Guidance Department at the high school, 51 Odd Road, is offering counseling to anyone.
