RANCHLAND GUNSHOTS: The Currituck County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting on July 28 in the Ranchland subdivision in Moyock.
Several shots were fired about 3 a.m. into the home of Joan and Donald McCoy while the couple slept.
Bullets pierced a left rear window of the Timber Drive home and caused about $1,300 damage to the window, screen, wall, trim and wood, a sheriff's department spokeswoman said.
No one was injured, and no nearby homes appear to have been damaged.
``We're asking anybody with information to please call the sheriff's office,'' said Susan Johnson, the sheriff's public information director.
