Joan Patricia Tietjen, 63, a native of New York, N.Y., died Aug. 2, 1996.
Mrs. Tietjen, the widow of Herbert John Tietjen, worked with the Virginia Beach school system. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Virginia Beach, and the Lutheran Women's League.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane Anderson Enos of Virginia Beach; four sons, John Herbert Tietjen and Robert Henry Tietjen of Virginia Beach, Eric John Tietjen of Orlando, Fla., and James Herbert Tietjen of San Diego, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by Pastor Richard Hill in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 424 Kings Grant Road. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Prince of Peace Church Education Fund.
