Carl Grayson Davis, 58, of the 900 block of Cogliando Drive, died Sunday Aug. 4, 1996, in his residence.
He was a retired electronic technician for NAS and a member of Fairview Church of Christ. Born in Harnett County, N.C., he was the son of the late Arthur Jackson and Myrtie Champion Davis and was preceded in death by a sister, Eunice Caudill.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Twiford Davis; two sons, Craig G. Davis and his wife, JoAnne, both of Virginia Beach, Brian E. Davis of Chesapeake; four sisters, Bertha McCloud of Chesapeake, Rachel Booker and Willa Hurley, both of Virginia Beach, Margaret Tort of Toms River, N.J.; three brothers, Arthur Lee Davis of White Plains, Md., Clifton C. Davis of Care Free, Ariz., and Cecil R. Davis of South Hill, Va.
The funeral will be conducted in Fairview Church of Christ, Chesapeake, Wednesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Cecil R. Davis. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake. Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of Fairview Church of Christ, 1112 Tatemstown Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23325.
