SUSPECT SURRENDERS

Ronald C. DeLoatch, wanted in connection with an attack on a teenage girl over the weekend, turned himself in at police headquarters late Monday.

DeLoatch, 21, was charged with malicious wounding, residential burglary with intent to commit malicious wounding and using a knife in a felony.

DeLoatch, of the 2200 block of East Washington Street, was being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.

Police said a man entered a house in the 100 block of Day Street through a second-floor window about 3 a.m. Sunday and stabbed a 16-year-old girl several times in the throat.
