Gloria Marie Antoinette Betancourt, 56, of the 2200 block of Sedgewick Drive, died Aug. 5, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
A native of Belize City, Belize, she was survived by her husband, Walter Betancourt; two daughters, Janice Betancourt-Grinage of Virginia Beach, Lydia Betancourt-Fuentes of New York, N.Y.; four sons, Benjamin Betancourt of Lawton, Okla., Leroy Betancourt of Belize, Walter Betancourt of New Jersey, Wilbert Betancourt of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Mavis Mitchell, Norma Sanchez, Myrna Leslie, all of California, Evadney Staine of New York, Joyce Casanova of Belize; and 24 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, by Mr. Richard L. Hardy. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 12 to 2 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at 701 Tilden Place, Virginia Beach, at other times.
