Hueard Thomas Lewis, 88, died Aug. 8, 1996.
A native of Pittsylvania County, Va., he was a retired manager of T & T Oil Co. in Danville, Va. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine D. Lewis; a stepdaughter, Martha Hamlett of Virginia Beach; two stepsons, Ronnie Hamlett of Virginia Beach, Jerry Hamlett of Roper, N.C.; two sisters, Louise Talbott, Pricie Whitt, both of Danville; a brother, Otis Lewis of Burlington, N.C.; two step-grandsons, a step-granddaughter and 23 nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Gardens, Danville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Congregational Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church, 1514 Sparrow Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23325. The body will be sent to Swicegood Funeral Home in Danville for services and burial. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements.
