ROBIN S. ROBERTS

Robin S. Roberts, 50, of South Cherry St., died Sunday, August 4, 1996, in the Veterans Memorial Medical Center, in Meriden, Conn.

Born in West Palm Beach, Fla., April 25, 1946, daughter of the late Robert Ellis and Laverne Dabney Roberts, she had been a resident of Virginia for 18 years, then had lived in Hamden before moving to Wallingford.

A graduate of James Madison College in Harrisonburg, Va., she was employed by the W.I. Clark Co., in Wallingford. She previously had been employed as a teacher in the Norfolk Public School System for 10 years, then the Roanoke Public School System for two years. She was a member of the National Education Association. She attended the United Church of Christ.

She is survived by two brothers, Alan D. Roberts of Fort Bragg, Calif., and Randy E. Roberts of Benecia, Calif.; and her nieces and nephews, Carissa Roberts, Chelby Roberts, Chad Roberts, Heather Roberts and Edward Roberts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, August 17, 1996, at 5:30 p.m. in the United Church of Christ, 107 South Cherry Street, Wallingford. The Rev. Richard Diehl, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the Hospice Community Services, 1 King Place, P.O. Box 1009 Meriden, Conn. 06451. Arrangements are under the direction of the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main Street, Yalesville section of Wallingford.
