FLOYD J. ABBEY

Floyd J. Abbey, 67, of the 6400 block of Clare Road, died Aug. 6, 1996, in his home.

He was the retired owner of Tidewater Service Center after 26 years. A native of Salmon, Idaho, he was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and past chancellor commander of Pythian Lodge (NU)106, Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife, Pepita M. Abbey; a daughter, Christine M. and her husband, William A. Stevens, of Virginia Beach; a son, John S. Abbey of Norfolk; his mother, Georgia Abbey of Montana; a sister, Donna Kyle of Montana; three brothers, Lloyd Abbey, Elbert Abbey, Donald Abbey, all of Montana; and a grandson, Billy Stevens of Virginia Beach.

Services are pending at Smith and Williams Funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a favorite charity.
