NARCISSUS D. NOTTINGHAM

Narcissus D. Nottingham, known as ``Ms. Sis'' or ``Aunt Sis,'' of the 500 block of Louisa St., died Aug. 7, 1996, in Norfolk Health Care.

Mrs. Nottingham was a retired cook formerly with Coleman Restaurant. Born in Martin County, N.C., she was the widow of Henry Nottingham Jr. She was a Baptist and attended New Hope United Church of Christ, Norfolk.

Survivors include a daughter, Isalene D. Anderson of Norfolk; three sisters, Marie Prosser of Norfolk, Katie Staton of Portsmouth, Ida Mae Dixon of Bridgeport, Conn.; three brothers, Willie James Dixon of Chesapeake, Levi Dixon of Robinsonville, N.C., and David Dixon of Elizabeth, N.J.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, the Rev. James W. Anderson of Norfolk; two aunts, Lena Culley of Williamston, N.C., Bettie Brown of Baltimore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Effie Dixon Mizzell; father, Henry Dixon; sister, Catherine Anderson; three brothers, William Henry Dixon, Jake Dixon and Elijah Dixon.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by Rev. James W. Anderson in New Hope United Church of Christ, Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 522 Louisa St., Norfolk, on Saturday at noon for a funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge.
