Emma B. Bowser, 74, of 44 Carver Circle, died Aug. 8, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Bowser, a native of Buckingham County, Va., was a member of Noble Street Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband, James C. Bowser Sr.; a daughter, Geraldine Bowser of Chesapeake; a son, James C. Bowser Jr. of Portsmouth; a sister, Dorothy Wright of Lynchburg, Va.; two brothers, Luke Brown Jr. and Leonard Brown Sr., both of Lynchburg; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Ronnie T. Northam Sr. in Noble Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
