CRIME LINE

Local police are seeking people's help in solving these cases: PORTSMOUTH

On June 8 about midnight, two men with guns began a robbery outside, but ended up in an apartment in the 1000 block of Duke St. where they robbed and sexually assaulted four people.

The first suspect was described as black, 19, 6 feet tall with a gold tooth. He was wearing blue jean shorts and a yellow clown hair wig.

The second suspect was described as black, 19, and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing blue jean shorts and a red and gold clown hair wig. CHESAPEAKE

During the past month, a rash of burglaries has been reported in the Greenbrier area.

Computers and office equipment have been taken from several business. Vehicles have been broken into and stereo equipment stolen. Also, electronic equipment has been taken from several conversion vans. VIRGINIA BEACH

Four men are wanted on charges of domestic assault.

Jay Ross Laney, 33, also is accused of abduction.

Laney is described as white, 6 feet 4 inches tall and 165 pounds.

Curtis L. Hardy, is described as black, 6 feet 1 inch tall and 165 pounds.

Fred Hawk, 48, is described as black, 6 feet 3 inches tall and 290 pounds.

Carlos J. Rodriquez, 35, is described as Hispanic, 6 feet 3 inches tall and 240 pounds. SUFFOLK

The Holiday Food Store in the 600 block of Carolina Road was robbed on July 29.

Thieves knocked a hole in the roof and jumped inside. They took 30 cartons of Newport cigarettes, a large quantity of ``Ides'' mixed fruit-flavored drinks, about $100 in loose coins and a small sum of paper money. NORFOLK

Carnale Lorenzo James, 26, is wanted for failure to appear in court on a felony charge.

James is described as black, 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. His last known address was in the 700 block of Wiley Drive.

On July 20, an employee for Goodwill Industries in the 900 block of Tidewater Drive discovered that a truck in the parking lot had been moved and had been used to strike four vehicles. The fence was also damaged.

Damage totaled more than $10,000.

On July 15, about 12:30 a.m., police were called to an apartment in the 300 block of West 30th St., in the Park Place section, for a report of gunshots.

When officers arrived, they found two men shot to death.

Investigators have no suspects, and the motive for the killings is unknown.

The victims were identified as Clarence W. Delk, 17, and James D. Delk, 21. Both men lived in the neighborhood but at different addresses. HAMPTON

On July 12 at 11:01 p.m. two men robbed the Zoom's store in the 1400 block of W. Queen St.

After entering the store, both suspects placed masks on their faces and one, armed with a chrome semi-automatic pistol, demanded money from a clerk. The suspects then fled toward Salters Creek Road.

The first suspect is described as black, in his 20s, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and wearing dark clothing and a black ski mask.

The second suspect is described as black, in his 20s, with a light complexion and wearing dark clothing, a stocking mask and a knit cap. ILLUSTRATION: Photos
