MEYER M. SEGAL

Meyer ``Mike'' Segal, 82, of the 4400 block of Honeygrove Court, the former owner and operator of the Garden Lounge on Azalea Garden Road and Segal's Catering Service, died Aug. 12 in his home.

Mr. Segal was a native of Norfolk and he was a member of Temple Israel in Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Bette Brown Segal; a daughter, Nancy Goldstein and her husband, Gary, of Holly Springs, N.C.; two sons, Capt. Alan Segal and his wife, Martha, of Portsmouth, and Dr. Stewart Segal and his wife, Renee, of Long Grove, Ill.; a sister, Rose Simonoff and her husband, Irving; a brother, Joseph Segal and his wife, Millie, all of Norfolk; six grandchildren, Alli, Erin, Jeremy and Lisa Segal, and Robin and Ryan Goldstein.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wedneday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz and Cantor Yael Fischman. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to charity of choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
