Annie J. Beamon-Bryant, 70, died Aug. 10, 1996, in Chesapeake.
She was born in Cana, Va., and was retired as a retail supervisor from Dam Neck Naval Exchange after 20 years. She was the daughter of the late Early W. Jones and Arilda Jones.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Joyce R. Bryant; two daughters and their husbands, Betty and Don Malpass Sr. of Virginia Beach and Dianne Beamon-Haack and Robert Haack of Virginia Beach; a son and his wife, Thomas and Betsy Beamon of Charlotte, N.C.; six sisters, Goldie Combs, Ollie McCrery, Myrtle Williams and Earlene McHone, all of Cana, Sally Dowell of Danville and Jerlene Jones of Roanoke; a brother, Robert Jones of Cana; two stepdaughters, Martha and Roy Evans of Norfolk, Ardelia Bryant of Virginia Beach; two stepsons, Lt. Bobby and Linda Bryant of Odenton, Md., and Billy Bryant of Norfolk; a sister-in-law, Frances Thompson of Danville; four brothers-in-law, Charlie Beamon, Paul and Willie Rhae Beamon, Franklin and Linda Beamon and Joseph and Peggy Beamon, all of Danville; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and special friends, Brenda and John Crawford and Carol , and Ronald Barre. She was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Raymond Beamon Sr. and five brothers, Earl Ray Jones, Henry Jones, Arliss Jones, E.W. Jones and A.G. Jones.
She was affectionately known as Grannie by family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel by Thomas Mercer Sr. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at 1112 Candlewood Drive, Virginia Beach.
