Mary S. Butts Ferebee, of the 4100 block of Williamson St., died Aug. 11, 1996, in her home.
A native of Norfolk County, Mrs. Ferebee was a dietitian for Serenity Lodge, Chesapeake, for 15 years. She was a member of Providence United Church of Christ, Chesapeake, and the Deaconess Board.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley A. Ferebee; two sons, Eric O. Ferebee of Woodbridge, Va., Mark A. Ferebee Sr. of Chesapeake; five sisters, Constance Bailey, Beatrice Wilkins, both of Chesapeake, Myrtle Peebles, Ella Harrison, Claudette Cuffee of Maryland; four brothers, Alfred Flora Sr., Albert Butts Jr., Edward Butts Sr., all of Chesapeake, Herman Flora of Maryland; three grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Karmel Ferebee of Woodbridge; an aunt and two uncles; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Providence United Church of Christ, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Dr. Alexander Jamison Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
