Margie L. Kinney, 93, of the Baptist Retirement Comunity of Newport News, died Friday, Aug. 9, 1996.
Mrs. Kinney was born in New London, N.C. She was the daughter of the late Adolphus and Eva Ann Morris and the widow of Earl Dean Kinney. Mrs. Kinney was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Newport News.
Survivors include two sisters, Mertie Quay of Virginia Beach and Addie Hendley of Duluth, Ga.; a daughter, Evelyn Lunn and her husband, Charles; granddaughter, Diana Carter and husband, Mike, all of Norfolk; grandson, Dean Lunn and wife, Diane, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; granddaughter, Cheryl Hughes and husband, Don, of Fairfax, Va.; seven great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kinney has donated her body to medical research. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 25 at 2 p.m. in Cornerstone Baptist Church, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Baptist Retirement Community, 955 Harpersville Rd., Newport News, Va. 23601.
