Nuts. There's a new round of slimmer service aboard USAir.
Soft drinks are being served in smaller cups and some passengers waiting for a bag of nuts won't get them. It's no big deal, says the airline, whose spokesman didn't want his name used.
Peanuts are available for passengers who request them on flights with hot-meal service, according to the airline. But no nuts will be offered on flights with snack service, such as an apple and a muffin or a sandwich. (AP) Morgan Products buys Tennessee Building
Morgan Products Ltd. agreed Monday to buy Tennessee Building Products Inc., a building products company with annual sales of about $47 million. Terms of the transaction weren't disclosed.
Tennessee Building Products, based in Nashville, makes windows, doors, kitchen cabinets and other millwork products.
Morgan, based in Williamsburg, makes specialty building products. It had 1995 sales of $338 million. (Dow Jones News) Trigon sets date for vote on stock plan
Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield set Sept. 6 for its policyholders to meet and vote on a plan to convert to a stock company. The health insurer is owned by its 200,000 policyholders. A two-thirds majority of the votes cast is required for the conversion to be approved. The State Corporation Commission will hold a public hearing on the plan Sept. 9. The SCC must approve the deal before conversion can take place. The Trigon meeting will be held at the company's headquarters in Richmond. (AP) by CNB
