ANDREW L. LUNDY SR.

Andrew Lee Lundy Sr., 77, of the 700 block of Lee St., died Aug. 11, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mr. Lundy, a native of Emporia, Va., was a general contractor in Norfolk for over a half century.

Survivors include six daughters, Florence L. Cooksey, Frances L. Alexander, Marie L. Carter, Mary Giles, Elnora Parker, Lydia Slight; a niece/daughter, Virgal Lundy Lowery; niece/daughter, Evangelist Thomasine McClendon; two sons, Andrew Lundy Jr. and Rudolph Lundy; two nephew/sons, James Douglas Lundy, Thomas Lundy; a sister, Viola Scott of Washington, D.C.; 28 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; also a longtime devoted friend, Mrs. Geneva White. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfield and Prophetess Elnora Lundy; and two brothers, William E. and James Thomas Lundy.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday by Bishop Vincent Donnell Lowery in New Hope Church of God In Christ. Burial will be in the Turner Plot in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Emporia. Friends may join the family at the home of Mrs. Virgal Lundy Lowery, 7029 Clayton Drive. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
