Walter Floyd Hinerman, 69, a former resident of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1996, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Mr. Hinerman, a native of Huntington, W.Va., was a resident of Indian Trail, Bracey, Va. He retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility as a production controller. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Corinthian Masonic Lodge (NU)266. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie E. ``Tennie'' Hinerman; two daughters, Beth Ann Potter and Cynthia R. Scott, both of Portsmouth; a son, Ted M. Hinerman of Pipestem, W.Va.; a brother, Jack E. Hinerman of Richmond; and four granddaughters.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield Jr. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with Masonic rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and will also be at 6225 Apple St., Suffolk.
