JOHN B. O'DAY

John Bartholomew O'Day, 68, died Aug. 12, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mr. O'Day was a native of Yonkers, N.Y. He was the president and managing director of Insurance Economics Society of America for 24 years. He attended the American College, and was a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, the American Society of CLU and ChFC, the National Association of Life Underwriters, and the Life Underwriter Training Council. Mr. O'Day was also a member of the Broad Bay Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Kaine O'Day; two daughters, Kathleen Dawn O'Day Foster of Fairfax, Va., Debra Lynne O'Day of Rockville, Md.; a son, Patrick Michael O'Day of Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Margaret Mary O'Day Sears of Novato, Calif., Catherine Dawn O'Day Bennett of San Diego, Calif.; and a grandson, Sean Michael O'Day Foster.

A memorial Mass service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Church of the Holy Family by Father Richard Mooney. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
