A house fire Tuesday night in Ocean View left three people homeless but caused no serious injuries.
The fire was reported shortly before 7 p.m. at a house in the 1100 block of Balview Ave. When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke and flames were visible. The fire was brought under control 20 minutes later and did not spread from the house.
No firefighters were hurt, but a civilian suffered a cut hand, fire officials reported. The home was heavily damaged and three people who lived there could not return. The Red Cross is giving them temporary shelter. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
