Suffolk Fire Marshal H.J. Parker asks your help to find the

persons responsible for setting several fires.

On Aug. 6, three fires were started in the lot of Butler Paper

Co., in the 300 block of Newport St. They broke out in three

trailers used to store paper products, and the suspects attempted to

set fire to one of the truck cabs.

The company has had problems in the past with groups of younger

males hanging around and playing on the property, and a large group

was seen on the property the day of the fires.

If you have information concerning the fires, call Suffolk Crime

Line at 539-1222. Information leading to an arrest may bring a cash

reward of up to $1,000.

Callers to Crime Line do not have to give their names or testify

in court on the information provided.

Butler Paper is offering an additional reward for information

leading to an arrest.
